Jaguar Medicine by Spirithawk Jaguar Medicine by Spirithawk
Sculpture- Made in Clay- Kiln fired- original one of a kind-

Depicts the spirit of a jaguar embodied in a human form....the essence of Shamanic arts...the incorporation of the healing powers of nature and the compassion of the human heart. I begin with a prayer and follow the clay, allowing the form to emerge. This sculpture was completed in 1997. It is now displayed in All Matters Gallery in Cleveland Ohio.

Again I see rich earth tones in these piece that makes me think of polished wood. The detailed work you put into this piece are wonderful, but my only plaint is that I wish the resolution size was a little bigger so that one can fully realize and appreciate the leapord spots seen on the sleave of his left arm....and I think one of the necklaces has teeth adorning it.

I kind of stumbled on this, and I must say it's quite beautiful. It flows so well and the colors are earthy and fit it perfectly. I like it a lot.

thank you for viewing and commenting on my sculptures. I DO love trees. Viewing your site....and seeing the female images, goddesses, and pagan references took me back to the first sculpture was a Goddess. Perhaps I will pull out some of my women's spirituality artwork to post....thanks for the memories....
